Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Master Class

NOBA is excited to present a very special morning Horton Modern technique master class led by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater dancer and New Orleans native Michael Jackson, Jr. (see bio below)! Class size is limited – register now at www.noba-ailey-masterclass.eventbrite.comto reserve your spot. This class will be taught at an intermediate/advanced level, and is open to adults and teens ages 14 and up. New participants to NOBA's programs must complete enrollment paperwork (available onsite) prior to participating. New participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian present to sign all applicable waivers. Modern dance attire is recommended (leotard, tights, bare feet). Class will begin promptly at 10:30am, with check-in for registered participants beginning at 10:15am. Please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to class start time to check in. MICHAEL JACKSON, JR. (New Orleans, LA) began his dance training at age 14 at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C., under the direction of Charles Augins. He became a member of Dance Theatre of Harlem Dancing through Barriers Ensemble in 2005. In 2006 he joined Dallas Black Dance Theatre, and in 2008 joined Philadanco, where he also worked as artistic director of D3. Mr. Jackson joined the Company in 2011 and rejoined in 2015.
