Dancing Grounds is excited to participate once again as a New Orleans Film Festival Community Partner! This year, we are partnering with 'As Is by Nick Cave', directed by Evan Falbaum, a documentary about Nick Cave's 8 month artistic residency in Shreveport, LA. As Is by Nick Cave Screening #NOFF2017 Saturday, October 14th @ 12pm $13 Tickets Broad Theater @ 636 N Broad Street NOLA 70115 About 'As Is by Nick Cave': In 2015 Nick Cave began an 8-month term as artist-in-residence at Louisiana’s Shreveport Regional Arts Council. Most known for his performances involving colorful, towering sound suits, Cave’s project for the summer was to involve community organizations in a four-part performance titled “As Is.” AS IS by Nick Cave follows the creation of this performance in Shreveport—we speak with those involved behind the elaborate suits and beaded pieces that comprise the stunning and ultimately uplifting show as they dance and work.
