Join us for a special Master Class with BODYART's Leslise Scott!
This Contemporary class is designed as a laboratory for whole-self exploration and expression. We utilize all movements and “techniques” available to us in order to complete our tasks. Our peers act as motivating forces but we never lose sight of personal strengths and goals. Floor work acts to strengthen our connection to the Earth and roots our grounded-ness. Momentum allows us to perform complicated bouts for extended periods of time effortlessly. Polyrhythms add complexity and a stronger sense of accomplishment while dynamism demonstrates our power and vulnerability. All of these ideas are explored in our work together. And, at the end of the class, we will explore contemporary repertory from BODYART and weight sharing.
